BBL Buildings & Components, Ltd. (BBL) is the area's leader in building quality custom homes, commercial and agricultural buildings, and premium trusses.
BBL was established in 1975, specializing in the sale and erection of post-frame farm and commercial buildings. Our facilities were expanded in 1979 to meet the increasing demand for a broad range of agricultural, commercial and residential buildings. Today, BBL owns 37 acres of land with 95,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing operations.
In 2010, BBL was purchased by MacArthur Co. of St. Paul Minnesota. One of MacArthur's subsidiaries is Energy Panel Structures, Inc. (EPS) of Graettinger, Iowa. (epsbuildings.com). EPS manufactures post frame building packages, residential home packages, and structural insulated panel (SIP) wall and roof systems to over 350 independent authorized dealers from Wyoming to New England. EPS will provide management direction to BBL as to product offerings and sales and marketing plans for the commonly controlled businesses.
Both BBL and EPS have a history of success in the building industry. EPS is an employee-owned company with over 30 years of experience in pre-engineered building systems. The sale allows BBL to expand and grow the product lines it can offer to its customers by allowing BBL to distribute and sell the EPS product line. Through EPS, BBL now offers structural insulated panels (SIPs) and building systems for commercial and food processing buildings.
Today, BBL's manufacturing operations include wood roof trusses for residential and commercial buildings plus exterior packages including wall panels for the residential home market. At BBL, we are quality conscious, service oriented and employee owned. No matter how small or large the project, you'll receive the same attention to detail that all BBL customers have come to expect.
BBL is located five miles south of Perryville, along interstate 55, off of exit 123 in Biehle, Missouri.
Every BBL Building is covered by our extensive written warranty. Items such as treated lumber, roof trusses, steel roofing and siding, doors and roof leaks are covered at no additional cost. These warranties are backed by 30 years of quality service as well as employee ownership’s commitment to complete customer satisfaction.
Prior to the sale, BBL was 100% owned by an Employee Stock Ownership Plan or ESOP. MacArthur is also wholly owned by an ESOP, so our employees continue own BBL through the MacArthur ESOP. As a result, our employees have a direct financial stake in BBL, and therefore have a vested interest in providing our customers with high quality products and service.
EPS was founded in 1981 as a subsidiary of MacArthur Co and is employee-owned through the MacArthur ESOP, EPS serves the upper U.S. from Montana to New England with a local network of more than 320 independent authorized dealers. EPS manufactures products for ENERGY STAR homes and is known for a diverse market of products including residential, agricultural, commercial, food processing and structural insulated panel systems.
MacArthur Co., was founded in 1913 and has 25 locations which, together with EPS, serve the upper Midwest, the West Coast, Idaho, Colorado and Montana. MacArthur has annual sales of over $350 million. (macarthurco.com)
